A tragic protagonist of recent history, the motor vessel EVDOKIA II sank off the coast of Chioggia on March 7, 1991.
Flying the flag of the Antilles, the ship, with a length of 100 meters and a net tonnage of 1,437 tons, was navigating in fog when it was rammed on the port side by the cargo ship PHILIPPOS, causing it to sink.

The gash caused the sinking of the motor vessel, but it gave the crew time to save themselves.

Positioned about seven nautical miles from the coast, the wreck lies in a navigational position on a seabed of about 30 meters, in waters that are not always clear, serving as a constant reminder of caution and attention.

In 1994, the entire upper part of the superstructure was cut and moved laterally about 150 meters from the wreck itself.

The wreck is completely covered with marine growth. The dive offers two levels of difficulty: a easy dive suitable for less experienced divers (accompanied) that involves circumnavigating the wreck and visiting the open holds.

A challenging dive for experienced divers with a visit to the propeller, the split of the hold, and perhaps still for a short time to the internal rooms.
